Fenella Woolgar who plays Agatha Christie in this episode previously worked with David Tennant in He Knew He Was Right. They also appeared together in the 2003 film Bright Young Things directed by Stephen Fry.
David Tennant's father, Alexander McDonald, was visiting his son during the filming of this episode and was given an uncredited role as a footman. He can be seen arranging items on the table when The Doctor and Donna are meeting Lady Eddison.
