Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which first appeared in comic books in MARVEL SUPER-HEROES #18 (Jan. 1969), stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector.

James Gunn is the director of the film with Kevin Feige producing, and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Jeremy Latcham, Alan Fine and Stan Lee serve as executive producers. The story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild to Honor Gail Ryan With Lifetime Achievement Award

Her client Benicio Del Toro will present the award on Feb. 15

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild will honor Oscar-winning hair stylist Gail Ryan with a lifetime achievement award.

Ryan’s client Benicio Del Toro will present the award to her at the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards on Feb. 15 at Paramount Studios. Past recipients include Colleen Callaghan, Paul LeBlanc, Vivienne Walker and Sydney Guilaroff.

“She was the first staff hair stylist at NBC Studios and designed phenomenal creations on variety shows for the network,” guild president Susan Cabral-Ebert said in a press release. “Whether being the department head hair stylist on ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ or just part of the hair styling crew on a reality show, Gail’s tremendous talent has been inspirational to both seasoned veterans and those new to the business.”

Throughout her five decade-long career, the “coiffeuse to the stars” has created memorable characters through hair styling artistry. The pioneer has worked in TV on “The Dean Martin Show” and “Donny & Marie” and in film on Del Toro’s “The Wolfman,” “21 Grams” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” which earned her an Oscar.

Ryan has also styled Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, who starred in “21 Grams,” as well as Dustin Hoffman, Ray Liotta and Nick Nolte. Del Toro is her latest client.

Én még nem! Milyen volt?

Nekem nagyon tetszett (gondolom, meglepődtél...), bár még vannak benne sötét foltok, mivel angolul néztem meg és az ilyen orvosi szakkifejezéseket nem értettem.
Érdekes a történet, nemcsak Jimmy élete (ami elég szokatlan is néha), hanem maga az egész, ahogy kibontakozik a kapcsolat és megnyílik. Nagyon szépen fotózott film. Beni tökéletes, mint mindig, és a francia pasas is nagyon jó, kitűnően hozza azt a stílust, amit egy ilyen aprólékos tudóstól elvár az ember.

2014′s Super Bowl was overshadowed by one thing. It wasn’t Optimus Prime riding a dinosaur, the ‘Seinfeld reunion or Seattle Seahawks’ demolition of the Denver Broncos, instead it was the lack of a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer.

Just over a week before the sporting spectacular, James Gunn confirmed that a trailer for his eagerly anticipated superhero epic wouldn’t be ready in time.

Now, of course, many of us just assumed that he was actually lying, and that his disappointing announcement was a ruse that would ultimately make the trailer’s premiere at Super Bowl XLVIII even more monumental.

Unfortunately, he was actually telling the truth. And instead we had to just make do with new footage for the ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ ‘Captain America: The Winter Solider’ and ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction.’ It was like asking Father Christmas for a bike, and then getting punched in the face by the Easter Bunny.

However, information has just been released that confirms that the first trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has been classified as PG-13, and that it will also have a running time of two minute and twenty-three seconds. It’s likely that the feature film will follow the same classification as the trailer.

At the moment, we still haven’t had an official date for the trailer, however, according to ComicBook.com, normally after it is classified it lands in cinemas just a week or two later.

Some fans had been wary that we might not get our first glimpse of the eclectic ensemble until ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s’ hits cinemas on April 4, but it now seems as though it could premiere either during the Olympics or the Oscars telecast.

However it’s released, Gunn previously revealed on his Facebook page that Marvel and Disney have orchestrated a perfect promotional campaign for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’

Gunn wrote, “Marvel and Disney have had a plan in place for a long time for the rollout of these characters in the biggest and best way possible, serving the widest audience as possible. Trust that they know what they’re doing, as they’ve been through this a few times before. And please be patient.”

Radius-TWC has acquired North American rights to “Paradise Lost,” starring Benicio Del Toro as notorious Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar and Josh Hutcherson a young surfer who marries his niece.

The film, which Radius-TWC plans to release this year, also stars newcomer Claudia Traisac and Brady Corbet (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”).

“We have been tracking this project for months and could not be more energized by Benicio’s outstanding performance and the star-making turn by Claudia Traisac,” Radius co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego said in a statement. “Di Stefano has delivered the goods and we feel privileged to be working alongside him on this fantastic film.”

The film is the directorial debut of Andrea Di Stefano.

“To have caught the attention of a distributor like Radius is a dream come true for me,” said Di Stefano. “We are all very honoured to work with this family. Wow.. what a journey!”

Dimitri Rassam produced; co-producers include Romain Le Grand, Frédérique Dumas and Miguel Angel Faura.

Benicio Del Toro Says: “What went wrong is that I guess I was too convincing, and that everybody believed that I was on drugs myself. It was insane. Plus it took me three months to lose all that weight. That was the worst part, let me tell you – I’ll never put myself through that again.”
