Linus' security blanket
Since the first appearance of Linus' security blanket in the comic strip Peanuts, this little piece of furniture has become a staple of the show. Throughout the strip, Linus is often seen holding it and sucking his thumb. As time passed, however, the security blanket appeared less frequently. This may be because Linus has outgrown it.

The Project Linus organization is made up of nearly 400 chapters throughout the United States that are run by volunteers out of their homes. They have distributed over five million blankets to children in need.

Snoopy's attempts to take it
A short story about Snoopy's attempts to steal Linus' blanket has become a classic in the comic strip. The story is a hilarious take on the tyrannical dog. Snoopy makes many mistakes, but in the end he wins over Linus's heart. The short also features a high-tech robot and Charlie Brown's love for Peppermint Patty.
