The Brazilian Salmon Pink Birdeater Spider
The Brazilian Salmon Pink Birdeater Spider is one of the largest of its kind. It is a member of the Lasiodora parahybana species and it hails from Brazil’s rainforests.

These giant tarantulas have eight eyes that are grouped in the front of their head. They don’t have good vision, and they rely on their pedipalps and hairs to find prey.

They can live for up to 15 years and are known to be fairly calm in captivity. Their enclosure should replicate their natural environment, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 85 degrees F and high humidity.
