Turning Red is a Disney Pixar film that follows the story of a 13-year-old girl named Mei Lee who turns into a red panda. The movie was written and directed by Domee Shi, who is the first female director to direct a Pixar short film. Mei’s story highlights the struggles of growing up and the things that teenagers go through.

The movie also features many of the fashion trends from the 1990s, including plaid tees and cargo shorts. There are even several characters wearing round-frame glasses. These frames were popular before thicker, square-shaped styles became trendy. One of the teen boys in the movie is seen wearing a puka shell necklace and a bucket hat.

The Tamagotchi is a keychain-sized virtual pet that has a small screen and a variety of mini games. The player must care for the pet and feed it food. The pet will grow up and develop based on how much attention it receives. Some pets die if they are not given enough attention, while others may produce offspring. The Tamagotchi Plus and Connectivity models introduced a feature where two pets could link their devices through infrared communication and form friendships and even marry.
