stem rocket project With this Bottle Rocket project we learned about: The paper rocket is placed on a launch tube connected to a plastic bottle. When you stompon the plastic bottle, air rushes through the tube and fills the body of the rocket. The airpushes against the tube until the rocket pops off. Safety Note: Make sure there is always adult supervision. I highly an adult launch the rocket while younger children cheer for this project from a distance. Remember there is vinegar in the bottle and when it launches the vinegar will spray. So arm your rocket and place it immediately into the launchpad and move away quickly! For this straw rocket STEM challenge, children are challenged to find a way for their rocket to go the furthest by blowing into the straw. With younger kids I highly recommend they watch and cheer for this project from a safe distance while an adult loads and launches the rockets.
