What is an Explanatory Essay?
The explanatory essay consists of three main parts: introduction, body text, and conclusion. Everyone is critical to writing a clear article or effective argument.
Introduction: In the first paragraph, you will lay the foundation for your expository essay and give the reader an overview of your dissertation. Use an opening sentence to grab the reader's attention and then supplement it with a few sentences that will give your reader some context for the information you are about to cover.
Body: At least include three to five paragraphs in the body of your explanatory essay. The body can be significantly longer, depending on your topic and audience.
