Adina Porter

Családjában ő az első amerikai generáció. Édesapja  Sierra Leonéban, édesanyja a Bermuda-szigeteken született. Kisgyermekként otthon szórakoztatta szüleit, akik hamar észrevették benne a művészi elhivatottságot. Felvették egy gyerekeket foglalkoztató színészetcsoportba, ahol első színész tanára a legendás Butterfly  McQueen volt. 

Korai középiskolai évei alatt egyik tanárja bíztatta, hogy felvételizzen a High School of Performing Arts középiskolába. Megfogadta a tanácsot, és jelentkezett, majd fel is vették. Ezután Porter színjátszást tanult,  és SUNY Purchase-ben diplomázott. New Yorkban felfedezte őt egy tehetségügynök, ezek után elkezdődött színészi karrierje.
