Dolores O'Riordan

Dolores O'Riordan 1971. szeptember 6-án az írországi Limerick-ben született. Hét testvér közül a legfiatalabbként látta meg a napvilágot egy katolikus családban. Tanulmányait a Laurel Hill Secondary School-ban kezdi meg. Itt írta a később ismerté lett The Cranberries slágert, a Linger-t. Már a ’90-es években megmutatkoztak a jelei, hogy egy nem mindennapi hölgyről van szó: haja mindenféle színben és hosszban pompázott, alkalmanként mezítláb lépett színpadra és ennek tetejében igazi dalos pacsirta.

The Cranberries énekesnője 1989 ótat. 2007-ben jelent meg első szólólemeze, majd 2009-ben a második. Közel 10 éves kihagyás után 2011 tavaszán újra stúdióba vonult a Cranberries zenekar, hogy felvegye legújabb dalaikat, melyek a 2012 februárjában megjelent új albumon voltak hallhatóak. 2014-ben cstlakozott a Jetlag nevű rockbandához és studióba vonultak új dalokat rögziteni.

2017 tavaszán került a boltok polcaira a The Cranberries hetedik nagylemeze, Something Else címmel, melyen a korábbi slágerek akusztikus verziói kaptak helyet. A dalokat az Irish Chamber filharmonikusok közreműködésével vették fel. Az albumon található a The Glory és a Why című dalok is.
