Sharon Lawrence

Karrier

Lawrence számos filmben és sorozatban jelent meg az 1990-es években, mint a Cheers, és a Star Trek-ben mint  Voyager. 1993-ban ő alakította a kerületi ügyészt , Sylvia Costas-t  az ABC rendőrség sorozatban NYPD Blue által létrehozott Steven Bochco-ban. Teljesítményéért több elismerté is kapott,a Screen Actors Guild Award-on például a női színészek közt jelölték.
1996-ban elhagyta a show-t, mint a rendszeres játékos saját vígjátékában a  sorozat Fired Up on NBC-ben.A sorozatot törölték 2 évadot követően.Később állandó szereplőként tért vissza az NYPD Blue-ba.
Lawrence játszott a Betty White-ban és Alfred Molina-ban a rövid életű  Ladies Man 1999-től 2001-ig. 2000-ben ő játszotta Velma Kelly-t, a Broadway musical Chicago-ban .2002-ig gyakran feltűnő szereplő volt a CBS egyik drámájában,a Wolf Lake-ben.
Ő játszotta Maisy Gibbons-t, a háziasszony / prostituált-at a Született feleségek-ben. Ő is megjelent a Law & Order-ban: Special Victims Unit, Boston Legal, Monk, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Mentalist, és a Body of Proof-ban is.  2009-ben Lawrence Emmy-díjat kapott vendégszerepléséért az ezen kategóriába tartozó színésznők közt.
2010 áprilisában, Lawrence csatlakozott a Josh Schwartz CBS pilot-hoz.2010 októberében visszatérő szereplőként tűnt fel a One Tree Hill néven ismert sorozatban ahol Sylvia Baker karakterét öltötte magára.
Szintén ő játszotta főszereplő-t  a  vígjáték-dráma Drop Dead Diva-ban 2009-től 2013-ig. Szintén ő játszotta a birthmother Dr. Maura Isles-t, és a Rizzoli & Isles-t.Az elmúlt években, Lawrence is szerepelt több független film-ben. 2013-ban ő volt  Chris Carter egy Thiller filmben.

Magánélete

2002-ben feleségül ment Dr. Tom Apostle-hoz .Görög ortodox egyház-ban Szent Sophia templomban tartották esküvőjüket, ugyanaz a Los Angeles-i templomban, ahol a karaktere, Sylvia Costas ment az NYPD Blue nős nyomozó Andy Sipowicz-al. Lawrence játszott a World Poker Tour Hollywood Home-ban és a végzett előnyöket Alzheimer Szövetség Los Angeles nevű Night at Sardi által, és a mi pár show a John Wayne Breast Cancer Center-ben is.
Támogatja a Global Green és a World Wildlife Fund-ot, hogy a környezet védelme és a veszélyeztetett fajok ellen kampányolnak.Valamint szereti a bulvár cikkeket és lapoket.
