Old Man's Child

Hivatalosan 1993-ban alapították, azonban gyökerei egészen 1989-ig nyúlnak vissza, amikor Galder, Jardar, és Tjodalv alapított egy death/thrash zenekart, amit Requiem-nek neveztek el, eleinte csak Metallica és Slayer dalokat játszottak, míg 1990-ben kiadtak egy self-titled demót.

1994-ben adták ki első lemezüket, ami a In the Shades of Life nevet kapta, a következő rá két évre, 1996-ban érkezett Born of the Flickering névvel. A The Pagan Prosperity 1997-ben, míg a Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion 1998-ban érkezett, utóbbi kiadása után turnéra indultak, ami sajnos ritkán történik, a gyakori tagcsere miatt, mígnem az évek során a zenekar egy egyszemélyes projecté vált, melynek egyedüli tagja Galder.

Annak ellenére, hogy egyedüli tag, a továbbiakban is fenntartja a zenekart, sőt újab albumokat is készített: 200-ben a Revelation 666 – The Curse of Damnation-t, 2003-ban a In Defiance of Existence-ot, 2005-ben a Vermin-et és 2009-ben a Slaves of the World-et.

Dimmu Borgir

Az elbocsátott  Astennu helyére érkezett 2000-ben, a zenekarral első közös albuma 2001-ben érkezett, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia címmel, mely lem ez stílusa máig meghatározza a zenekar hangzatát, sőt még egy norvég Grammy-díjjal is jutalmazzák munkájukat.

A következő lemezre nem kellett sokat várni, hiszen a Death Cult Armageddon 2003-ban érkezett, amerikában is hatalmas sikereket ért el, 2007-ben érkezett az In Sorte Diaboli, mely aféle vissza a gyökerekhez lemez, s szimfónikus zenekar sem segédkezett nekik a felvételben.

A zenekar kilencedik albuma 2010-ben érkezett, mely nem meglepően világszerte hallgatókra talált. 2011-ben először adtak teljesen szimfónikus koncertet, azonban korántsem az utolsót, még sok ilyen fellépésük volt, éveken át. 

Következő albumuk 2015-ben várható, melyről egyenlőre nincs semmi információnk.
