Keenan Wynn

Keenan Wynn 1916. július 27.-én született New Yorkban. Édesapja Ed Wynn humorista volt, édesanyja pedig Hilda Keenan. Apja zsidó, édesanyja az ír katolikus volt.

FILMEK

Keenan 1942-ben tűnt fel a televízió képernyőin, s rögtön 3 filmben is szerepet kapott, Northwest Rangers, Nekem és kedvesemnek és Valahol megtalállak. Az 1944-es Mióta távol vagy romantikus drámában kisebb szerepet kapott ugyan, de olyan színésznőkkel forgatott mint Claudette Colbert, Jennifer Jones és Shirley Temple. A következő évben hét filmben szerepelt, ezek közül hármat hazánkban is bemutattak, a Kék rapszódia-t, a Szerelem nélkül-t, melyben Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball és Spencer Tracy mellett alakított jelentősebb szerepet illetve az ezt követő Az óra című drámában pedig Judy Garlanddal szerepelt együtt.

A színész 1946-tól 1960-ig összesen 50 filmben kapott szerepet. 1960-ban főbb szerepet kapott a Walt Disney A szórakozott professzor című családi vígjátékában, melynek főszerepét Fred MacMurray töltötte be, 1963-ban aztán ismét magára öltötte Alonzo P. Hawk karakterét a Vigyázat, feltalálóban, mely A szórakozott professzor folytatása volt, ugyancsak a Walt Disneytől. Az ezt követő években ismét számos filmben volt látható, például 1972-ben Charles Bronsonnal és Jan-Michael Vincenttel főszerepelt a Mestergyilkos című krimiben. 

1974-ben a Walt Disney népszerű családi vígjátékában A kicsi kocsi újra száguld-ban alakította Alonzo Hawk-ot. Három évvel később A gyilkos bálna-ban tűnt fel. 1980-ban Ali MacGraw-al játszott az Amit szemed szád kíván-ban, 1982-ben Bette Davis oldalán tűnt fel a Zongorát Mrs. Cimino-nak-ban, valamint szerepelt a Goldie Hawn és Burt Reynolds főszereplésével készült Házasodjunk, vagy tán mégse? című vígjátékban.

Utolsó produkció melyben halála előtt szerepelt az 1986-ban bemutatott Hyper Sapien: People from Another Star volt.

SOROZATOK

A színész 1955-ben kapta meg első sorozatszerepét a The United States Steel Hour-ban. A színész haláláig számtalan sorozatban feltűnt, hazánkban is ismert alakításai 1979 és 1980 közt például a Dallas 10 epizódjában Digger Barnes karaktere volt. 1982-ben feltűnt a Szerelemhajó 1983-ban pedig az Egy kórház magánélete egy epizódjában.

1984 és 1985 közt főbb szerepet alakított a Call to Glory című drámasorozatban. Utolsó sorozatszerepét az 1986-os vígjátéksorozatban a The Last Precinct-ben kapta.

MAGÁNÉLETE

Wynn első felesége a színésznő Eve Lynn Abbott volt, akitől két fia született, a szintén színész és író Edmond 'Ned' Keenan Wynn és Tracy Keenan Wynn. A színész és felesége 1947-ben elváltak. Második felesége Betty Jane Butler volt. Harmadik feleségét, Sharley Hudsont 1954-ben vezette oltár elé, ebből a házasságból 3 gyermek született. 

Életének utolsó éveiben a színész hasnyálmirigyrákban szenvedett, ez okozta 1986. október 14.-ei halálát. Hamvait a glendale-i Forest Lawn Memorial Park-ban temették el.
